Chico High and Butte College collaborate to provide seniors an opportunity to register for their first semester of college through a program called Reg-To-Go.By participating in the program seniors are given priority registration and can have their first semester of college classes scheduled prior to graduating from high school.; Whether Butte College is your first choice or a back up plan, don't miss the Reg-To-Go program.

Community College is a great place to either get training for job placement, earn a certificate, earn an Associate Degree or complete General Education credits necessary to transfer to a 4-year college.

Funding College Through Financial Aid

Find out if you qualify and how to apply for Federal Aid for college HERE
Chico High will host an event called CASH FOR COLLEGE where families can get assistance completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid - FAFSA
When:  October 26th, 2017
Where:  Chico High Library
Time:  6 PM - 8 PM
Both Student and Parent will need to have a FSA ID to submit your application that evening.  The FSA ID gives you access to Federal Student Aid’s online systems and can serve as your legal signature.
Step one - Register for a Federal Student Aid Identification Number (FSA ID)
Step two - Apply for Federal Student Aid through FAFSA
Step three - If you need assistance completing the FAFSA come to the Cash for College event at Chico High (date and time above)

FAFSA4caster is a free financial aid calculator that gives you an early estimate of your eligibility for federal student aid. This information helps families plan ahead for college.

Funding College Through Scholarships

The Chico Community Scholarshipapplication will be available early in the second semester. Watch the bulletin for an announcement.

Letter of Recommendation Request Form

If you need to create a Resume, you may find this Resume Template helpful.
Keeping a record of your sports activities, awards, honors, and volunteer experiences are beneficial when applying to college or a job.  It can also prove valuable to a person when writing a letter of recommendation for you. We have TWO options available: 

Transcript Requests

When you have decided which college you plan to attend, you will want to request that an official transcript be sent to that college.  Prior to graduation, pick up a Transcript Request Form in the counseling office and turn it into the Counseling secretary, Sally Chandler.
