PRELIMINARY SAT - PSAT/NMSQT    

The 2014 PSAT/NMSQT test at Chico High School will be offered on Saturday, October 18, 2014.
  This test is administered by high schools, not through test centers. Online registration for the PSAT/NMSQT is NOT available.  You may sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT in your high school counseling office.

Please note:  The
PSAT/NMSQT is offered only one time each school year.  The test is administered during the month of October only.

Cost:    $20.00 (Must be paid in the Counseling Office before school, at lunch or after school.)
 
Details:  The PSAT/NMSQT is useful for providing practice for the SAT, allowing Juniors to enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation competitions for recognition and scholarships, assessing your skills in critical reading, mathematical reasoning and writing, getting specific suggestions on how to improve your skills, comparing your academic skills with those of other college-bound students, asking colleges to send you information, and getting information about college majors and careers.  When fees are paid, students will receive the 2014 Student Bulletin (Official Guide to the test) and a Check List of where to go and what to bring to the test.

Community College is a great place to either get training for job placement, earn a certificate, earn an Associate Degree or complete General Education credits necessary to transfer to a 4-year college.
