WHEN:     Wednesday, October 19, 2016 8:00 a.m.

 

WHERE:    Chico High School Big Gym

 

COST:     $30.00 Must be paid in the Counseling Office (Before School, at Lunch or After School) by October 14th.  After October 14th: $35.00.  No sign-ups accepted after Tuesday October 18thMake checks payable to Chico High School.

 

DETAILS: The PSAT/NMSQT is useful for providing practice for the SAT, allowing Juniors to enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation competitions for recognition and scholarships, assessing your skills in critical reading, mathematical reasoning and writing, getting specific suggestions on how to improve your skills, comparing your academic skills with those of other college-bound students, asking colleges to send you information, and getting information about college majors and careers.  When fees are paid, students will receive the 2016 Student Bulletin (Official Guide to the test) and a Check List of where to go and what to bring to the test.

March 2 Success provides free educational material to help students prepare for ACT/SAT tests.  They offer a series of videos to help simplify the college admissions and financial aid process.

Community College Entrance Testing

Community College is a great place to either get training for job placement, earn a certificate, earn an Associate Degree or complete General Education credits necessary to transfer to a 4-year college.

Apply to Butte College and sign up to take the Butte College Basic Skills Assessment test  (BSA).
